We are attempting to help build the DNA database by asking our members to visit the Family Tree DNA website below and participate.  It's completely painless (swab the inside of your cheek), convenient (do it at home), and reasonably priced (see schedule on website).  There are specific DNA projects for major clans including the Armstrongs.  The information is held confidential.  If you select the option, your name can be given out to others whose DNA matches so you can contact each other.  The purpose is to aid genealogical research.  I have personally hit a "brick wall" in tracing my ancestors any further back than 1805 in Virginia.  Please visit the site and participate.  The more participants the greater the accuracy of the results.
